HANEDA - days of "Pre-BIG BIRD"


There was no "Big Bird" terminal in Haneda in the late 70's.  

There were no "Boarding Bridge" in Haneda.
Passengers took buses to board their aircraft.

At that time, I loved DC-10-40 so much !

These are old paint of JAL (Japan Air Lines).
I think this red crane mark is better than the present design.....

Here is Kumamoto Airport.

Haneda in 1978, It was morning busy time ! Many aircrafts were waiting for departure.
Two aircrafts are TDA (Toa Domestic Airlines) DC-9 and YS-11 in the front.

DC-9 Super 80 !

70's, It means Tri-jet days.


ANA (All Nippon Airways) operated L-1011, They had cool trade mark on thier tail.

People called this paint as "Mohican Look"...

TDA A300-B2/B4 approaching to RWY22.

ANA have started to operate B.767-200 in 1983 spring.
And now, We can not to see it .....
